Staff Movement

Seems there's a new movement underway that we've caught wind of......

What are these walking sticks? Hmmmmmm, well - turns out that about a year ago the Lord placed a desire in me to grab something and strike the ground while making declarations. As I would declare the WORD OF GOD over a situation, I simply felt like slamming the ground fervently with a stick!!! In the last couple of months, the Lord had a man give me his walking stick. I immediately went out and bought a $10 wood burner at WalMart and begin to burn scripture into it. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof" 1 Corin. 10:26 and "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19....

Then I took this staff to our women's retreat and used it as the Spirit led. Another lady there kept taking it too!! It was awesome. Meanwhile, prior to this event, I had used it in intense intercession, where I was in the spirit realm and saw the enemy completely surrounding me as I interceded for a friend who was ambushed. ALL of the surrounding enemies HAD TO SHUT UP and they HAD TO BACK OFF. Then the intercession turned to TRAVAIL and Victory was evident!!! So why do I feel like I have to carry around a staff....well I DON'T HAVE TO!!! But it's been a great tool to have around and then when the weighty Presence of God comes, it helps me to stand a little longer ( ha ha ha).

Some friends of mine caught on and we brought our staffs to a conference and so many people inquired of this. Mainly MEN!!! It was awesome. I see this as a powerful tool in the hands of warriors. And at this conference the Lord networked us with a fellow LOVER of CHRIST and she informed us that they were also called Mahtah sticks....so go figure....He had this going on already elsewhere. The Lord also took me to two accounts where prophets were doing what I call prophetic acts (my hubby prefers "acts of faith") in 2 Kings 13 where Joash goes to Elisha on his death bed and Elisha has him do the arrow out the window deal & then strike the ground....its an awesome account. The LORD loves it when we're zealous and fervent, and do these things by faith. Then He showed me Zechariah 11:10 where Zechariah took 2 staffs and named them Beauty and Covenant and performed "acts of faith" with them. I LOVE IT when the LORD coddles me with confirmation....It's so nice to know that I'm not some totally out there freak! He validates me. Since then I have researched staffs and rods in scripture. There's so much revelation and purpose there.

These are only a few juicy morsels to the story....He's had me give 2 staffs away and then keeps giving me another one, this time it was much taller....hmmm, what's up with that? I think I have a clue friends.

and Oh what fun, what fun we're having in the Presence of the King.....I declare - it's fullness of joy.
